Junior Achievement Day at Burnham School

Morton College sponsored Junior Achievement (JA) Day at Burnham School. Several Morton College students volunteered mentoring and teaching JA's economic & business elementary educational programs. First and forth grade children enjoyed the hands-on JA programs learning about the American free enterprise system from an elementary level. Some of the topics addressed during the sessions were the importance of social responsibility, money management, community service and careers.

Among the volunteers was Lupita Diaz Donato Senorita Cicero, and Dr. Dana Grove President of Morton College. Many of District 99 Cicero Public Schools have JA in their schools where volunteers from the corporate sector inspire children and teach them about business. "I'm glad to see Junior Achievement in Cicero where our children can enjoy these programs through mentors.' Said President Larry Dominick. " I want to see more children enjoy these programs".
